Came with a handwritten note and a free strainer to do pour overs right in the mug. This is what a self-heated mug made by Apple would look like. Plugged it in and started working right away. Have been enjoying hot coffee ever since.

There was some confusion on whether or not the mug was self heating or if the pad heated the mug; it's the pad BUT that didn't take away from the overall experience
